There is something about this book.
There's something about the idea of chucking it all in and finding, if not peace, then at least calm -very much at the expense of others - family and friends be damned. About family and friends being obligations in the first place (results, not causes. Results, not causes. Results, not causes).
There's something to the idea of stilling the screeching concerto in one's mind by fleeing....far, fast...and with irrevocable consequences. Severing all ties, enacting complete silence.
There's something about mending one's own heart in the only avenue that has no historical impediments: Away.
This book has left me aching. And on the brink of packing my bags.
